Fiction Writing Contest: A call for submissions
As part of our 10-year celebration in 2020, the Journal of Integrated Studies is holding a fiction-writing contest for Athabasca University’s graduate students and MAIS alumni. As our journal focuses on publications that are interdisciplinary, we invite fiction submissions that are inspired by this theme and include a reflection on why the fiction submitted is indeed interdisciplinary.
Our definition of interdisciplinary is: an approach to knowledge creation, learning, and integration whereby we work with different strands, viewpoints, methods, or theories from a variety of fields and traditions in order to understand or construct understandings of phenomena in a way that respects and acknowledges complexity, both externally and within ourselves.
Along with your submission, please include a reflection on the interdisciplinary nature of fiction.
